How tall is eowyn

Perhaps it was just some inconsistancy, but I think it was Jackson using Tolkien's clever use of height to install fear into someone.

Because looking up at something 'towering over you' or tall and threatening or intimidating, is more terrifying than someone relatively the same height as you. Interesting thoughts there, Lord. Also another point: The WK could have gained height as the War of the Ring progressed becuase Sauron or the ring was giving him more and more power, and thus he may have increased in size becuase of this.

By the time of the battle of Pellenor took place the WK would have been at full strength and thus may appear to be as much as 2foot bigger than when he first rose again. Also, Eowyn was crouched down in the defensive position half the time you see her compared to the WK, losing at least half a foot in height.
